Supporting Our Community volunteers filling donation bags

Through 2020 and Beyond

BMI Federal Credit Union is proud to support local organizations that improve our community.

This includes event sponsorships, donations, volunteering, and more. Learn about our most recent community involvement!

North Community Counseling Center

In August we worked with the North Community Counseling Center to provide donations for their Care-A-Van event! The Care-A-Van event provides care packages to those in need.  BMI Federal Credit Union provided the bags for this event, complete with hand sanitizer, cleaning supplies, hygiene items, and toiletries. The event will be held on September 18 from 11am to 1pm at the Columbus Office of NCCC. This is a drive-thru give-away to maintain proper social distancing.

Summer Food Programs

Throughout the summer months, we supported local food programs to help feed children while school was out of session. BMI Federal Credit Union donated $3,000 to three food programs: $1,000 to the Children’s Hunger Alliance Kids Summer Nutrition Program; $1,000 to the Columbus Recreation and Parks Department Kids Go Lunch! Summer Food Program; $1,000 to the Meals on Wheels Kids Summer Food Service Program.

American Cancer Society

BMI Federal Credit Union is pleased to have been a hole sponsor for the American Cancer Society’s 40th Annual Drive for Life Golf Classic. The Credit Union also donated an iPad for the event. It was a beautiful day on the links for a round of golf for a good cause.

Columbus Urban League

We are so proud to have our employees organize a donation to the Columbus Urban League. Our donation included $5,000 that will contribute to their myriad of exceptional programs helping those in need. The Columbus Urban League, the Columbus chapter of the Urban League, is a not-for-profit advocacy group with a primary focus in Black communities. Their efforts include acting as an "economic first responded" with programs for housing relief, financial education, reform programs for formerly incarcerated persons, and more.
