BMI Federal Credit Union
Update: Heartbleed Bug
As you may know, the Heartbleed bug is a serious vulnerability in the popular OpenSSL cryptographic software library. OpenSSL is a widely used encryption technology that provides security for millions of websites. This newly discovered bug has the capacity to intercept personal information captured on an estimated two-thirds of website servers.
BMI Federal Credit Union does not run any of the affected SSL program libraries on its web servers and is not impacted by this bug. Rest assured, BMI FCU will continue to monitor the situation.
As a reminder, one of the easiest ways to provide some level of protection to yourself while online is to periodically change passwords, and the more frequent the changes the better.
